Can coffee replace water?
In short: nope π Coffee isnβt βwater 2.0.β It does contain water, but caffeine has a mild diuretic effect, so relying on coffee instead of plain water isnβt a great plan.
β Better approach:
- Make water your daily baseline.
- Coffee can be a bonus (1β3 cups is fine for most people).
- If you feel dry mouth or get a headache after coffee, thatβs often your body saying βmore water, please.β
π± In our app: if it tracks water intake, log coffee separately as βcoffee/drink,β and log plain water in the βwaterβ section. Pro tip: set a rule like βone glass of water after each coffeeβ and turn on reminders π
P.S. Coffee is love, but water is the foundation π
