Behavior and habits

Why is changing habits harder than it looks at first?

Because habits aren’t just “willpower” — they’re your brain’s autopilot settings 😄 Your brain loves saving energy: it repeats what’s familiar, and anything new feels like extra work.

What usually makes it tough:

  • Trying to change everything at once (food, sleep, workouts) — your body’s like: “Do we still get to live?”
  • No clear trigger (when exactly to do it): “I’ll walk more” is nice, but not specific.
  • Expecting fast results: progress is often slow and comes in waves.
  • Environment beats motivation: if cookies are in sight, they mysteriously disappear.

How to make it easier (and how our app can help 😉):

  • Start tiny: 5–10 min walk, 1 glass of water, 1 veggie added to lunch.
  • Attach the habit to a moment: “after coffee → 10 squats” or “after work → 15 min walk”.
  • Track it in the app: check it off/log it daily — you’ll see progress even before you feel it.
  • Look at weekly trends, not single days: one day is mood, a week is a pattern.
  • Have a backup plan: no energy for a workout? Do 5 min stretching and still count it.

Most important: slipping up isn’t failure — it’s just being human 😅 Reset at the next meal/next day and keep going.
